I am honored to introduce my friend's writing, in which she defines a utopian thinker as one who seeks to solve personal and universal problems with a combination of awareness, rational thinking, and emotional thinking. While realizing the need to develop emotional problem solving techniques for (todays world of) essentially emotional problems. - Chris Pringer, 1/26/2010 |
This written work is a synthesis of inspiration from many sources, collaborative emotional conversation and the love of dear friends.
Here is my contribution for Social Studies Class
I am giving you this paradox in receptive awareness of the events that shape our existence in this world. In awareness of the ways in which we think and feel, we may approach the subject of social differences from many different points of view. In an academic environment our first choice is to rationally analyse, to discuss, possibly to debate, and to problem solve in a linear and orderly fashion. But what about viewing and solving social problems with an emotional approach? How seldom this is done, that we lack emotional problem solving skills. We are too much in the head.
The emotion of discomfort that we feel may arise from complaint. Complaint comes from recognition and an expression that we are not satisfied with a situation. Complaint is a good thing, because we see a problem to be solved and may then explore where to innovate to find solutions. And if we feel distress that our complaint can not be satisfied we suffer from emotion once again. The cycle of complaint and problem solving continues, and we ask for help if we need. If our needs are not met we demand, and if our demands are not met we return to emotion. We feel grief for the lack of our need.
In this environment of too much and too little information we feel we have the intelligence and the rational thinking skills to solve most problems. But because we feel that integral facts are missing and because we feel that our needs are often deliberately withheld we cultivate within ourselves a bitterness and sense of distrust that our needs may never be met.
We feel that someone is to blame for this denial of our needs. The state of inequality in the world; greed for wealth at the expense of the poor; favoritism for the most holy; lust for wealth, land and resources; exploitation of the youngest and the oldest and the weakest.. and on and on..and the aspect of war and spending ever looming over us and catalyzing all of our suffering.
Who is to blame? We look left and right and we begin to feel the emotion of suspicion for some, perhaps many people. Who do we suspect? Whose names do we say? Which groups do we accuse? There are so many now with the world growing ever closer, perhaps its best to blame everyone and be done with it. We are all to blame. No one in particular. Our emotion is sealed in suffering for lack of trust and we close ourselves away in fear and self preservation. How do we solve this very emotional problem?
An utopian thinker is a feeling thinker and solves problems with a combination of awareness, rational thinking and emotional thinking beyond the dealings here and there of suspicious trouble makers. An utopian steps away from suspicion and sees a paradise in the future where everyone may have their needs met. An utopian thinker belongs to such a small part of the global population that we are massively outnumbered. But an utopian thinker has an emotionally logical message of hope that must be heard. If there were not this hope we would all be crushed and defeated.
What does hope do but give us courage to strive. We may succeed.. we may one day achieve victory in this battle of trying to have our needs met. Don't give up!! Still we have hope for something and this is an emotional question. If you talk to any utopian their answer to this question is Love - an emotional answer that rational thinkers struggle with.
As an utopian thinker - feeler I am met with many accusations in my attempts to deliver this message of hope. Some may say that I look at the reality of the world through rose coloured glasses; that I have my head in the sand; that I only know enough of facts to be seen as dangerous. But do not exterminate the dream and the dreamer. These comments are just more wounded words based in fear, the emotion, to protect us from who is to blame. And who is that really? You? Me? Your brother, your neighbor?
But we need strength and this is our inner emotional strength. We need to go on trusting and loving in spite of our fears and in spite of our suspicions. Your brother and your neighbor, your country all need to survive as much as you solely and in your aloneness in this dangerous unpredictable world. We have a dream and an emotional answer. We need courage to keep alive that dream. We need to cultivate our own sense of hope, in love and peace and in unity hand in hand.
We need to develop emotional problem solving techniques to essentially emotional problems. We need and we are suffering, we complain and we ask for help. We have desire for a better planet and more harmony and trust between us and we need above all radical acceptance for all our differences no matter what they are and who we are. We need to cultivate this emotional strength within us individually in commitment, with courage and openness to trust and to love each other.
in love and desire for Peace and Unity of all people on this our paradise.

Gyani Mohila Mahacali: Thank you Marcy, acknowledged your sweet praise, Love and respond with gratitude in Love and Light to you :))
Christopher Pringer: I'm gonna give that a "Wow!" - I think you covered it, as they say. I feel defended and stood up for. I could say more, but I've already said or referenced it in previous responses to your various notes. Except/Unless this is where I'm supposed to say "Evolution Trends" or "Fascia Memory Project" (?) Thank you, Mohilla. [Descriptions and links in the Related Links section just below]

Gyani Mohila Mahacali: He he, Chris.. it's all about you :))
Sure you may say whatever you like Dear, "radical acceptance" of all. And we can have a look at the fascia memory project too. Love to you and Namaste' emotional one, you are defended and protected. xxx
Gyani Mohila Mahacali: I'm honoured you would include this note on your website as well Odakota - much gratitude, salam
Christopher Pringer: Well, since it's all about me ;-)
Gyani Mohila Mahacali: he he
Christopher Pringer: But really, of all the questions you could ask about current events... you hit on the big ones! And did it rather well. What more could any teacher ask for? Am sure she will give you an A+ (And you are too kind :-)
Christopher Pringer: And very silly!
Gyani Mohila Mahacali: In all non-silliness, for me to re-read this essay in your voice, Chris.. I can indeed hear your unique approach to this topic. These could be your words too. I give you that.
Gyani Mohila Mahacali: Best wishes Rachael for your radio gig !! Much love
Christopher Pringer: Mohila, yes, your essay harmonizes VERY well with my approach and opinions. Not much there I could disagree with. On the other hand, when you address me, saying "emotional one," well, the general impression gained from that may not accurately describe my composure, my presence in a group, or even with a friend on an average day. Granted, I do communicate emotions (perhaps much due to having encouraged clients over the years to do this) more than most men I ever known, especially other straight men. But also more than most women I have known very well. But that is the nature of relationships, isn't it - a big part of their purpose being learning.
Christopher Pringer: And of course, I do see a GREAT need for individuals and communities learning to communicate honestly within themselves as well as with others- and that means finding a suitable ways for communicating emotional honesty- and one that is somewhat consistent through the different cultures(!). Winners claim to enjoy challenges - so about this one!? (ha!) Seriously though, how long might that take? Well, a century or two perhaps, but we have to begin somewhere, and the best beginning (or at least one part of that) is to gain widespread acknowledgment of the need to do so. I address many related issues and some prospective timing considerations, in the Evolution Trends writing, as well as some of the more "basic" socio-political considerations at the PolyPsyArts pages at my site. [Descriptions and links in the Related Links section just below]
Gyani Mohila Mahacali: One day you may accept your reflection in the mirror of someone elses heart as being a simple reflection, an aspect like a photograph of an angle in a particular moment with certain light, however incomplete unless they had the reflective skills of Picasso, and then perhaps you may not recognize yourself at all in that kind of reflection. I call ... See Moreyou "emotional one" Odakota out of a simple reflection and recognition of that particular aspect, respecting all else that you are, whether I see or don't see it myself or even if I ever will... if that is ok. I love you just as much ?
Gyani Mohila Mahacali: And of course, your contributions on your website are massive and well designed and packed full of constellations of minutely detailed aspects on all these above mentioned things. :) am I good now? ?
Christopher Pringer: And we're back to "and very silly" ;-)
And... well, if I could see all you see I'd be you ;-)
Oh, and your beauty is showing again :-)
Gyani Mohila Mahacali: "salam <3"

Mind-Body Memory Research & the Core of Preventative Medicine ? The Fascia-Memory Project Home Page is about prospective Research into the Relationships of Connective Tissue (fascia), Body-Memory & Related Dynamics, and into New Connective Tissue Scanning Devices for Multi-Level Diagnostics Systems & Integrated Preventative Maintenance Approaches. Now includes a table of contents for the seven main sections/pages and two charts. Based on questions concerning the physiological relationships to what has always been considered 'the intangibles' of emotional memory storage. For perspective on this far-reaching multi-faceted proposal, see Fascia-Memory Project Overview Chart. The range of application extends from the medical industry to personal home use, to public education, to social and correctional rehabilitation. |
One of my main visions / goals is a society where/in children are taught how to feel/see/read their own body-mind communications such that preventative health maintenance eventually becomes second nature. That would then be part of our upbringing and public schooling. (Sample benefit: Over time we would learn to channel our initial stress response into channels more creative than that of fight or flight. And actually, much of this "adrenal response" has been shown to be a learned response, and not necessarily innate. Hence, we would be encouraged to re-awaken and build upon what I believe to be a natural inclination - conscious self-healing and continuous expansion of awareness.) Evolution Trends: The 'Information Age' And Its Evolution Into The 'Holographic Age'
Challenges and Realistic Goals For Survival and Creating A Desirable Future, © Nov'95 HOW CAN WE GET BEYOND what seems to be the current or impending "Doom & Gloom" scenario orientation?
 |
|
| About the process of developing solutions, related social and technological advancements. Not long after the above ("Fascia Memory Project") futuristic vision (with steps to get there) came about, this writing was initiated. We are currently in the "Information Age" of global-scale *collection and organization* of data and data systems. The "Holographic Age" will be marked by "...the integration of data (a precursor and main component of the Holographic age) ...will bring about a tremendous explosion in capabilities of unprecedented scope, magnitude, and depth... The ability to offer/affect pre-designed physiological, emotional, mental, and psychic change on human beings..." Intelligence manages information, but wisdom manages Intelligence. This "adventurous" draft looks into the future at many key areas of evolvement of Human Society. It includes: sections on 'Health & Environment,' on 'Psycho-Social Transition And Rehabilitation' (in corrections, education, and health), "The Role Of Intuition Coming Home," as well as some 'Political Considerations.' |
ie: [from original Aug'95 paper:] "...Our trial and initiation prior to entering the next age is dealing with the issue of 'Polarization.' So much depends on how we manage this issue during the 1995 - 2005 period of time... critical on many levels. The implications may therefore be timely, a balance of warning with hope and direction... 'Polarization' refers to the two opposing extremes of over-identification and enmeshment. The first extreme, over-identification, relating to hyper-egoism or narcissism, includes misplaced patriotism and competition for the sake of wrong-making and degradation, nationalism that unduly separates people, bigotry, elitism, and related extremes. The 2nd extreme, enmeshment, relating to the blurring of proper boundaries (such as with emotional or energetic enmeshment, sexual abuse, any improper 'dual relationship'), includes that which occurs with secular/political or political/personal conflicts of interest. Appropriate structure (laws, regulations, professional guidelines, cultural mores, rules of conduct, etc) is the result of healthy personal and societal discrimination of values, and related priorities and goals... ...will develop out of necessity - much due to the aberrations of the info age (psychological manipulation and necessary defense systems practiced by/for/against businesses in competition as well as for military reasons... personal data as common knowledge <-> 'Age of Exposure' ...the decade of the media moguls and the survival of democracy..."
But if we get through all that, one of the many noted benefits include "... We will have the unique opportunity to learn first-hand from the most hi-tech, research data-backed, psychological ...Awareness on/of the various levels & interrelationships between these areas... The application of intuition may find an unprecedented role in terms both of breadth and of its popular integration with the more logical approaches ...As a result, various systems of 'Integrated Diagnostics' will be developed..." .
The original paper was email published in Nov '95 on listserv@intuition.org (Institute of Noetic Sciences) and Spiramed@sjuvm.stjohns.Edu. Yes, 1995 - So I guess the system I used for assessing the timeline is not so bad (based on "Seven Phases of Evolution," also detailed on that page). Ok, so there was some intuition as well. Note: That 10 year 'prep' period has become NOW - wherein so much is being determined about how and how soon we begin this next age - or if we do before the planet overhauls itself. But remember that spaceship that's going to save us ? <grin> Well, the pilots are none other than ourselves (our Earth-steward selves), so (assuming it happens) don't worry, we won't miss a minute of it -- God wouldn't deprive us of the realization that we are so capable! (So much for that Rapture swoop.) |

"ART & SCIENCE of Body, Mind, & Spirit Integration" (Body-Mind-Chalice Integration Art Index Page) - Artwork on the "Chalice" or Grail theme, with symbolic and philosophical interpretation. Essentially, the chalice, far more than just a cup in this interpretation, is about the human embodiment of Spirit into the three "lower bodies" (mental, emotional, and physical) which compose the "Body-Mind". Which is also a "cauldron" for the balancing and integrating of Humanity with the Divine - individually and communally. In one perspective of 'balance in the universe,' Male AND Female energies form a bio-electric charge of opposite polarities. And through this it forms a vortex of energies that form "the chalice" - conceptually, if not in it's original meaning and purpose (?). It symbolizes the "bridging" of the two realms (Yin & Yang, Form & Formlessness) - the depth and breadth of which, could we understand it, would likely explain our existence. |
| Includes section, "Pragmatic Balance" of Extremes and In Betweens with "A Relationship Between Dramatic Rise in Popularity of Holy Grail / Chalice Media and the Desire for Pragmatic Balancing of Extremes?" Also included in this section is the essay, "Teach The Truth, And Change Will Come From Within" (with a title that paraphrases my best teachers, and this means change will come from within the teacher as well as those taught). A Kind Summary (of this and other pages at the site) for Pragmatic Balance has been created in the section as I was pulling together a suitable description for the "Madonna with Dove of Peace" art. |
