Ok, "Guaranteed" might be a bit strong,
but I come not even close to the longgggg exaggerations,
not to say verbose, of our so well-meaning King -
Ok, ok, so maybe not so well-meaning,
but providing headshaking quotes we love to sling.
But it's said that paradox is the heart of humor,
Just like Bush, or according to suspicious rumor,
is slinging that blade of truth (or a Baby Ruth),
being that kinder gentler sluth (to unravel your youth),
keeping the state of policing steady -
Yep, I feel warmer and fuzzier already!
Well, I just figured,
given his grand clarifications
(and pointed finger triggered)
for such critical occassions,
that with that intrepid mind
in such a decrepid bind,
that it wouldn't be unkind,
to say that, since he was pathologically un-freed,
then I had license a plenty - to say "Guaranteed."

A Poor Posse of Psycho-Political Pyro-Lyricism for a Posturing Pauper

Dedicated not just to the novice, our reicheous king,
our hero? our saviour? Our royal derrieric sting?
Hear A proffered posse of psycho-political prose,
limrics for the mind to keep us on our toes.
Indeed, after the Intro, a few lines I chose...
And You! Dare to ask - if there might be quotes?
A Clue! Could there not, be bridges for moats?
Arches and connections - As Above, So Below,
all form and metaphor - you may now know!

(phew <grin> ... Ok, I realize some of the prose may seem to take very critical aim at just one person, or at one group of politically powerful people. Yet I also recognize that these folks represent parts of us (individually and societally) that we'd rather not see, let alone own up to. If the shoe fits it's ours to wear. Better yet, I believe, our clay feet are ours to own and heal.

And now for that ...

"Tough Love for the King"

Because he has a fear of the 3rd World's power,
For everyone but the US, his message is sour:
"Cry & I'll give you something to cry about"
And "We'll just beat you if we can't buy you out"
Parts of you becoming insulated and afraid to feel?
As if trying to convince yourself it isn't real?
Yes, the politics of pain can put you in a rush,
But just be sane, not disillusioned- talk back to Bush.
A little tough love might provide just the push.
It's his deep Inner Child, he's trying to come through.
In his own wild way, Yes, he's asking for you,
It's true, It's true, you can actually help him heal,
Yes, really, let's all, tell him how we REALLY feel.
He needs a most responsible dad, his own dear father... well... sad.
Trust me, friends, it's really our job, not to enable him to rob.
Really and Truly, I'm being quite serious,
It's been such a year, incredibly delirious
So I beg you, be clear, Who else's mind is set?
That we finish what's left, yes, let's, without regret.

"Let him Blow Hard, even claim it's Divine,
But please, off the mike, giving not of Air Time!"

Ok, Let us give him just a tad more credit,
Just another verse or two - only if you'll let it,
They say, claiming clarity he doesn't have a clue,
I say, Hey, in sincerity, let's now give him two:
That he sure hears well, altho' only the zoo
That this tells such puppets just what to do
So yesserree indeedy, let's let him blow hard
And lo, let him decree tea, and be his own bard,
Even Let him be king being (Hiel Hitler yo, Pard!)
But just in his mind thing (with all DOO regard)
Lest it be Totally Empty, save the bio-ID card,
That buggles and echoes the Homeland Security Guard.

... Fundamentalism is the way
to take an idea for which you'd pay
then make it inflexible, stiff and hard
and give it a life you'd have to guard
yes, make it king, give it a castle
then say it's Divine, tho just a hassle.

PAIN, LEARNING, & LAWS

... and, for the out-there in-there crew,
and even the masochistically curious few,
only to learn perhaps much of it to be true,
realizing the pain was only from the brew,
that blocked or filtered a few points of view...
but what do I know, as if I had a clue,
well, ... ok, just maybe I do...
after all, there are some laws taught by a few,
keys to organize what fits -- without glue,
sorting and sifting, puzzles in the stew
seeing what falls into place as if meant to be true,
they've left them for us, and I like looking too,
don't you?

And Now here's one for the children,
the little ones in You
But so as not to be rude,
Tho' to my form staying true
'tis Time for a different mood
Flexing in the bridge I build for you...

My Cells - My Children

My cells know what to do and they do what they know
resting into alignment and into the FLOW.
Nothing to make happen, nothing to make be
just allowing their being all they are as One with me.
appreciating their loyalty for serving against their way
in past times of survival, holding & protecting each day.
Reacting to experience, my voice at times unconscious, at times others' -
passing on what I felt others knew better, 'though just fathers & mothers.
I'm learning as a parent that nurturing part of me -
to be with my little selves trusting me to be of Thee,
allowing my muscles to rest into their places
balancing into the PRESENCE, breathing into the spaces.
In Tune with the Blueprint and guidance of my BEING
that's eternally inviting my opening, feeling, and Seeing,
For these are all my CHILDREN, having always obeyed my voice,
now rejoining my family, all with awareness and choice.

Note:
The principle of "As Above, So Below," has to do with relationships of things up and down the spiritual, psychological, and biological hierarchy(s) of human beings. EG: When one heals one's heart, this not only effects the capacity for health of other organs and systems in one's own body in a positive way, but also the capacity of others in his/her community to heal their hearts as well. "My Cells My Children" is based on the "Re-Parenting" approach of personal growth & self-healing. One might also apply this poetry, as a metaphor, up and down the hierarchy of communal structure as well.

   The essay, "Healing the Citizenry" - guides pragmatic discussion for recognition of our current situation, examination of related cause-effect patterns, transitioning out of political apathy, and making conscious choices for change toward sustainable living on the planet (a long term project).

Why these "Poly-Psy" charts and essays?    Because our government has been greatly influenced by the 60-80% of the citizens NOT participating.
We (speaking of Americans over the last five centuries or so) have allowed/created our current condition -- in terms of various attitudes, beliefs, and values - and some interesting times wherein we re-defined certain values. And this implies, therapeutically speaking, we can therefore can *heal* our socio-political condition by changing those attitudes and re-clarifying some values over more time. That implies potential for a form of continuing *preventative health maintenance* curriculum at schools and colleges. Paradigm shift tension, anyone? How much are we ready for? But doesn't every writer asks that question - or just those who want us to "bridge" - to encourage exploration of our potentials and what we perceive as our limitations?
Many writers note the incredible degree of short memory and denial that is going on in America. Perhaps that is because we want so strongly, even tenaciously, to believe in our "good guy" image of ourselves - certainly more than we want to acknowledge our attachment to our standard of living. "Our national denial" happens apparently because of that. Well, I believe it essential to the planet, considering the power of the United States, that the citizenry wake up, suffer the inevitable heartbreak, get a hold of ourselves and heal that, get real AND learn to use our anger constructively, and get in charge of what we can be proud of, and create much more of same.
All in all, A good introductory, if not prerequisite, to the "OverComing Political Disillusionment" outline/study page (see next Link).

What would be accomplished if more than 40% of Americans felt empowered enough to Vote? Would we create a government that actually represented our highest values? See "OverComing Political Disillusionment"for an outline of study of current political challenges and psychological considerations effecting American citizen potentials for stirring democratic participation, and the power to make a difference for the world, as well as suggestions for the healing & preventative maintenance necessary in so many arenas to get us there.

ABOUT THE ART: The symbols for the "Chalice" - or Holy Grail - that I often use are drawn essentially from ancient archetypes. Here, the Chalice is essentially a "cauldron" for the balancing and integrating of Humanity with the Divine - individually and communally. And just to forestall any hasty categorization, I should say that these archetypes pre-date the Jewish faith by many centuries. They have their own rich meanings as related to the spiritual dilemma or paradox, balancing or synthesis of qualities (such as Yin & Yang), and healing transformation. The "Chalice-Star" over the three traveling magi is used in my Solstice or Christmas Card design to represent our quest - in this earthly dimension of body, mind, and spirit - for the inner-most Source of one's spirit and faith -- whether that would be the Inner Christ, Inner Buddha, Inner Mohammed, or the Divine Mother's Spirit connecting All Life, etc.

Chris, 2008 I began my studies in multi-level self-healing when in the service, in Thailand in the Winter of '73. The focus then was on self-help psychology, consciousness, and eastern and western mystical perspectives. This continued through my university studies in Norman, OK '74-'79. 1980 took me into naturopathic studies, primarily nutrition and herbology when I lived in Oklahoma City. Not seeing the naturopathic doctor route as affordable at the time, I found direction via a five-evening massage course, Fall '83. That led to a six month professional practice, followed up with the training in Sante Fe, NM, '84-'85 (described in the next paragraph).
Since then I have practiced massage and/or healing facilitation for others, initially in Santa Fe, NM (during/after my training), then San Louis Obispo, CA, and Seattle, WA. This includes exploring personal challenges and self-healing methodology. A session may include various energy work modalities, Body/Energy-Awareness based Preventative Health Maintenance Instruction, or only Reiki or relaxation work in total silence. A client chooses based on whatever stress, pain, or concerns are present at that session. A client may request a "Body Pattern Reading," as well as various massage/bodywork therapies, all of which techniques are listed & described in my brochure. Individual, program, and 3-6 week interval-based rates are available.

My interests have primarily centered in three areas:
1) Body-Centered Psycho-Spiritual Process (as in "Hakomi" style of) counseling and bodywork, including as assessing an individual for the most efficient means of addressing connective tissue injury, short and long term, and the most efficient application of the results of that assessment (on physical and/or emotional levels);
2) in The Basic How's And Why's Of Psycho-Emotional Storage In The Body-Mind, and in the related fascia memory storage dynamics - referring to the technical aspects of neuro-physical interface between connective tissue, emotion, and the brain);
3) "Chalice-Bridging" style chakra balancing - based in the perspective that the chalice, far more than just a cup in this interpretation, is about the human embodiment of Spirit into the three "lower bodies" (mental, emotional, and physical) which compose the "Body-Mind". Which is also a "cauldron" for the balancing and integrating of Humanity with the Divine - individually and communally.

My training includes over 1370 hours of classes and practicum, including with the New Mexico Academy of Massage and Advanced Healing Arts in Santa Fe, NM (1984-85), and with various accredited bodywork and therapy workshops (`86-present), as well as 100 hours training with the Alchemical Hypnotherapy Institute (1989), over 100+ hrs apprenticeship with healing practitioner Robert "Mitra" (`85-`86), and 150 hours apprenticeship with Silena Heron in Herbal Studies (`83-`84). Personal Quotes on Body-Mind Awareness [ cp, 12'07 ]

BODY-MIND AWARENESS, at the core of preventive health awareness, is one of the most simple, efficacious, & cost-effective forms of HEALTH INSURANCE there can be. Hence, massage is far from just "a luxury item," and bodywork therapies can be indispensable for the healing of certain conditions.

MUSCLES RELATE TO ATTACHMENTS - to what we use to take our stance, to hold our place, to perceive and respond to our environment, and to extend who we are and/or want to be. Or used to be (in too many cases, perhaps).
That speaks not only to the body's condition and function, but to how it communicates awareness of where one is along one's path (of becoming who one truly is).

THE BODY IS . . . among other amazing things, a unique communications system -- intimately linked with one's TOTALITY.
Establishing rapport with one's body can be a PATH to self realization.

ONE OF MY DREAMS is a society where/in all children are taught how to feel/see/read their own body-mind communications such that preventive health maintenance eventually becomes second nature. And actually, for the most part, they would be encouraged to re-awaken and build upon what I believe to be a NATURAL INCLINATION - conscious self-healing and continuous expansion of awareness.

And the above goes FOR ALL OTHER ALTERNATIVE THERAPIES, to the degree that one utilizes them to improve such awareness and causative/pro-active connection with one's body-mind, and to employ the most effective tools for maintaining/improving one's health under any given condition or circumstance.
