Why Track Trends? To me it's like accounting - what good is it unless it tells you how to stay in the green, out of the red? I'm not that great with money, but I believe trends watchers can be the most useful in this way. Considering the accuracy of this writer - for the '95 to 2005 period - you might be interested in the assessment (and the timing in that) which is based on a system described below. This writing is about trends in our evolution, as well as about events and processes. When I use the term "evolution" at this website, I am referring to the psycho-social evolution of humankind, resulting in lasting change on the physical level, and not the physical as we generally consider it (with exception of the brain). And usually from the perspective or paradigm that looks at the recent psycho-social trends - in comparison to the overall course of mankind. That also includes the political and technical, especially as relates to health care. The current "Information Age" represents society's evolution into definition, comparison, specialization of information (mental as well as emotional and physical), and the utilization/manipulation of that data. Eventually we will be entering into what I refer to as the next level of our evolution, or what I call the "Holographic Age." The Holographic Age will be marked by the integration of data and data systems (a precursor and main component of the Holographic age), not just the current global-scale collection and organization of data and data systems. In the Holographic Age there is the realization of synergy and "connectedness" -how everything reflects and effects everything else. (Some relationships do so more integrally/dramatically than others). Assessing the how we get from here to there: A useful assessment of any situation - to determine ones course of action - weighs current and future assets (i.e.: resources and tools), liabilities, challenges and objectives. Granted, while I am not the worst student of history, I have used a relatively esoteric system of assessment to analyze the evolution of the planetary population (taking into account the assessments of many others' far more experienced at this than I). The system which I have come to call the "Seven Phases of Evolution" is the system I have drawn on primarily to render probabilities for "where we are" along the spectrum of evolution, what current trends look like -- from many different perspectives, you could say-- and from there, to render probability scenarios for where we are/may be going in the near and moderately distant future - the 'signs of the times'.
HOW THIS FUTURE TRENDS SCENARIO CAME INTO BEINGThe origins: Not long after reading some of the articles in the Sept-Oct '95 issue of The Futurist (including "Telemedicine" by Thomas Blanton and David C. Balch, "The Age of Multimedia and Turbonews" by Jim Willis, and "Crime in Psyberspace" by Gene Stephens), I began getting some ideas of my (?) own about our transition into what I'm calling "the holographic age." But what very rapidly came through my filters was written down on some notebook paper in a sort of block diagram flow chart (shown below). The blocks [in flow chart below] represented events that seemed to logically occur in cause-and-effect relationship, laid out more functionally than chronologically for the different 'event paths' with lots of arrows, some heavier and some lighter. I saw the lines of cause and effect, if you will, even though it seems that I access probability arrays or probability fields as the sources of this information. There were a lot of "if this, then this" kind of spiral-offs (only semi-analytically derived) that gave lots of flexibility to the event paths. However, there was not much flexibility (not much more than noted in the text) when it came to the critical events of next few years (up to about year 2005). But even as the event paths were being constructed, jumping between one event path and another before one may be even half-done, arrows connecting them to other event paths were drawn. Eventually it could be seen that almost any one event path effected the flow/outcome of each other event path, creating a interwoven feedback system of 'event systems,' as it were. Then came the notes, including in the margins. And the arrows between the blocks led to as much text as for the events sometimes as I did my best to connect the events with how's and why's (based on systems referred to below).

With the continuing integration of data between the medical disciplines there will be any professionals in practice as well as in academia that begin to realize, chart, and compare notes on the multi-dimensional correlations (among the mental, emotional, physical, and bio-energetic/ magnetic) as related to various health conditions. Also of help will be the extensive psycho-emotional personality typology data and systems covertly developed by the intelligence services. The study of (internal) belief systems as related to overall health will be inevitable in all the above goings on, and it will be developed as a major aspect of focus and application in virtually all areas of health care. Many of the medical approaches (e.g.: psycho-neuro-immunology, to start with) will be moving from a conventional perspective, as regards mind-body correlations, to one where attitudes and belief systems become real components for functional consideration. Subtle energy systems, already the focus of much medical, will also become highly considered in health assessment and therapy application by both hi-tech and low-tech medicine. This will lead to the validation of the intuitive function (e.g.: various forms of "psychic reading" and "energy-balancing" that more and more people have relied on) for detection and treatment of bio-magnetic energy congestion, blocks, mal-distribution, and related dis-functions on physical levels-and eventually for/on mental and emotional levels. The application of intuition may find an unprecedented role in terms both of breadth and of its popular integration with the more logical approaches. This is elaborated in the next main section on "The Role of Intuition and ... Grail". As a result, various systems of "Integrated Diagnostics" will be developed, and they will eventually become more or less standardized. As with many systems discussed in this section, this methodology will evolve with the inter-permeating effects of the other developments, especially "Holographic Modeling" and the human body-mind's "Grail System" (both discussed below). Integration and teamwork will become the norm when it comes to the future's much more developed, multi-disciplinary "whole systems approach" to the care applied to the patient. The idea of holographic inter-reflectiveness will find a growing interest, and then applications, in medical, as well as environmental, disciplines (see "Holographic Modeling" below). Even nutritional therapies may include any combination of synthesized chemicals, vitamins, essential oils, homeopathics, neuro-transmitter and/or hormone precursors, along with integral nutrient production enhancers and synergy agents (such as herbals and flower essences) to enhance and direct the combinations to the most effective performance, and oriented toward "instructing the body-mind" to return to its highest state of efficiency to which it is capable. Just what potential the human is capable of attaining, will actually become a question of critical perspective and even controversy. An issue that will be debated in both physiological and psychological, as well as sectarian circles, will be whether the original nature of man is "perfect or imperfect." In other words, does the body-mind really know what's best for health, and how much can one trust that it does, and when, how, and why? The aspects noted in the above two paragraphs will be a part of this in depth process. Health care will get very interesting very fast when the medical and religious experts of the day get around to some actual consensus on the "why" part, as if it wouldn't before then. The debate will engender a broad public awareness of internal belief systems and multi-dimensional cause-and-effect relationships and dynamics, it will stir even more the issues originally brought up by the genetic research. This will be due to a complex interplay of factors, especially the developments of Integrated Diagnostics and related approaches. With all these going's on, the sectarian fundamentalists will be hard put to call into question many resultant findings that (may seem to them to) threaten the existential basis for their beliefs. [..Why & How..] Holographic Modeling will be a 3-dimensional model integrating holographic projection, virtual reality technology, (what is now) whole systems design, fuzzy logic, morphognetic fields, unified field and chaos theories, and multiple-probabilities planning. In the coming decades there will be the general awareness that when one eco-system is affected, not only are all other eco-systems affected to a certain degree, but also most other systems connecting organic life on many levels. Using computer generated graphics programs that show 3-dimensionally, the relational and changing dynamics between rated probabilities, complex planning can be facilitated simultaneously by a number of disciplines involved in solving the multiple- discipline challenges. This technology will be a key to the greatly accelerated link-up of the many technologies and modalities, resulting in a tremendous surge in the application of creativity. This acceleration should be "at warp drive" relative to the acceleration in information processing brought about by the Information Age. The major difference will be the depth and breadth of effect in most every aspect of our thinking and feeling. The use of such systems for learning via communication of multiple level information produces potentially a virtual 4th dimensional reality. Our comprehension and understanding might be described as "multi-peripheral-intra-reflective referencing." Holographic modeling will facilitate the development of planetary evolution models for effective plan-management approaches-scenario probabilities for earth's sustained evolution. The models will be synergistically extrapolated (from potentially infinite numbers and combinations of variable factors influencing the earth's eco-sphere, societal development, and astronomical dynamics) via processes similar to the above. From these probability scenarios will be gleaned how various possible changes would affect the earth's continued capacity to support life in what will be determined to be in alignment with its highest well-being. Such educated foresight will make feasible (what now would be beyond even consideration) such formidably complex projects as the managed restoration of formerly extinct plant species - and possibly even of animal species. This is assuming that the genetics research will make this bio-technically feasible, that the related ethics "insearch" has provided clarity as to man's readiness to consider such uses of power, and that we have well underway the correction of such basic global imbalances as those related to pollution and waste management, atmospheric (i.e.: ozone) stability, population equilibrium, environmental (land, plant, and animal) husbandry, etc. In the holographic age it may not be a strange thing for the average adult to have a very deep respect and functional appreciation for, if not an innate love- affair with, the natural elements of his environment, not unlike what we respect so much in innocent children. [By "restoration of species" I did not/do not mean the replacement any species *with anything less than the original genetic structure* - or at least an accurate reconstruction of same. That is, unless it is a) determined with great study and broad consideration, that some variation from the original is preferable, and b) there is a plan for restoring as much balance as possible as soon as there is an indication of the need for that, and c) the parameters of such "balance" and "need" is well defined before any such replacement takes place. --cp, 3'07]
THE ROLE OF INTUITION COMING HOME,

| In previous ages we may have had great use of the intuition, and more recently we've seen a much expanded growth and use of intellectual logic. Soon we enter the age of the balancing of the brain's hemispheres. I call the vehicle for this balancing the "Grail System" because of its relation to the striving for yin-yang or male-female balance that is inherent in the symbolism of the Holy Grail, or Chalice, in spiritual teachings and myths. The Holy Grail was/is the cauldron of the transforming fire, the source and meaning for the multi-level power struggle (re: paternal/maternal, God/Goddess, science/religion, church/state, etc.) initiated in the middle ages, and told through the story of Camelot and the search for the lost grail. In essence then, we have the grand opportunity to recover the Holy Grail, to regain our balance in male-female relationships, both internally and externally. [More recently the grail has been interpreted as the womb or female holder of the bloodline of Christ. But (I maintain that) in the perspective of 'balance in the universe' - both Male AND Female energies, via the charge of opposite polarities - form the vortex of the chalice as the vehicle of human-to-divine transformation - cp, 2'07] |  |
In the development of the holographic age intuition will have a most grand and unprecedented opportunity. Something revolutionary is going on relative to left/right brain, or WHOLE BRAIN evolution. Right now there is a great deal of polarization between two groups - those who believe that the right brain's intuition does [<-corrected] work well in the environment of the left brain's analysis and logic (see below regarding analysis, distortion, mediation, and the "Grail System"), and those who believe that intuition is a dreamer's tool for self delusion relative to scientific medicine. There is a growing number of views in between, but not much sophistication on the matter of whole brain integration until very recently.
What we'll possibly manifest in the next 20 to 50 years will blow the doors down -- between the left and right hemispheres -- in the very halls of science. This will not happen due to the massive testimonial or empirical evidence, but mainly because of our developing bio-cognitive capabilities for systematizing the use of intuition, and there-by functionally integrating it with more logical systems of diagnosis, prognosis, treatment, and the planning there of. In 30 years the Whole Systems Approach of today will be as primitive as Western surgery procedures of the 1800's is now.
I am referring to the human brain's development of a type of data organizing or systematizing ability that will change how right-brain or non-linear perception is a) viewed, and then b) processed and stored, so to make it more broadly applicable in whole-brain process. There will be a resulting enhancement in mind-body, mind-emotion, and conscious-super- conscious mind "relationships," as well as in communication between the different processing centers in the brain. Creativity will literally take on another dimension.
Intuition has been described as the capacity to access and integrate logical data, thus indicating that the data is already somewhat pre-formed (and left-brain accessible) information. But that description alone does not sufficiently account for the experience of most people who consciously use their intuition fairly often. With sufficient development of the "Grail System," there will be an increase in the ability to access and juggle right brain perceived data -- consciously, but every so subtly. The right-brain's random-sorting and selection process -- for "where" the perception is directed and what it focuses on -- as well as the aspect of diffused focus, will actually be predictable to a useful degree, given certain criteria that we will be capable of managing in useful situations.
The criteria includes knowing the person(s) being worked with in terms of their own experience and current intuitive process and current factors affecting their psycho-emotional process -- in short, how and why they do what they do. These criterions will be allowed for in, and further developed by, the Holographic Modeling function of the Integrated Diagnostics (described in previous section). This includes -- to a useful degree -- the aspect of unpredictability, due to, well, to a soul's somewhat unpredictable plan for it's personality level of existence.

"The Grail System" serves as the universal energy balancing mechanism and perceptual data sorter for mind-body consciousness. While this system has always existed, it is one whose capacity multiplies with development. This comprises four systems on four levels, including the nervous, endocrine, circulatory (including lymphatic), and respiratory systems, and on the physical, emotional, mental, and bio-magnetic levels. Most emphasized are the upper endocrine glands and the cerebral spinal fluid channels. The ventricles serve (almost literally) a central role, with the system utilizing their fluidity, content, density, and location for containing the heart of the multi-level data-coordination process. More than for other areas of the nervous system, the bio-magnetic resonance upon this location, (due to the structure and function of surrounding tissues, including the shape and movements of the skull itself) contributes toward the sorting, "gelling," and infinite reformation and refinement in the BALANCING of energies. |
This balancing serves every level of awareness conceivable while one's consciousness is still connected to one's body. Hence, the mediation aspect whose potential provides for a type of objective monitoring and analysis of ongoing intuitive spread-tracking -- but without the mind's usual "need" to categorize or limit data in time, space, or any fixed way ("Suspended Analytion" ?). The latter can easily distort the holographic perception of the intuition. Even so, the development of these functions will also greatly expand the processes that we now refer to as analysis. As far as I know, there is no actual recognition of all of these particular functions or as collectively related to any system.
Grail-enhanced minds working with Holographic Modeling will have the ability to effectively compute and juggle complex probabilities, including multi-level, multi-factor cause and effect relationships involving the most unpredictable systems - including human beings. The ability to evaluate -- without the attachment to perceiving someone as good or bad, more or less worthy of love -- is critical to the Grail System's continued development to this level of effectiveness. In fact, the reason that many "intuitives" will argue that analysis is destructive to the intuition, is because of the harm that has been experienced due to the misuse of "judgment." I refer to the tendency to poo-poo the imagination of young minds.
Such imagination would (otherwise) naturally facilitate openness to a relatively unhampered, and therefore potentially pure, insight -- into and through many "problems" that can plague a comparatively fixed adult perception. Why have we been so insecure in our reactions to such productive activity, or have we too often interpreted it as a kind of rebellion to authority? (Note that history has taught us that occult practice can be severely punishable.) And yet, true "whole brain" potential does not forsake the value of science or forego the capacities of the logical mind, but co-opts these for it's optimal performance. And the most effective analysis will utilize the intuition.
[In his book, *No Boundary* Ken Wilber elaborates on what we would now call the "Left/Right brain split" and the psycho-spiritual significance of history and the evolution of consciousness during those periods. Should this be interpreted to imply that the primary capabilities of human intuition would or could ever be analyzed to the point of it being replicated, synthesized, or even marginally computerized? My first reply: certainly not for many centuries of human maturation. And yet something said my answer was too simple. So I am led to believe that this issue will be the point of another great debate -- and probably near the end of the next [THIS] century, when it may appear to many (as per our enormous capacity for self-delusion) as technologically feasible. Fears will be raised by those who see the intuition as sacred (as related to their spiritual connection); enough so to want to protect it from unwarranted tampering by the psycho-physicists (!) and psycho-geneticists of the day.
The covert research into psychism and related technologies has failed in many accounts due to the nature of the intention for using the results of the research, and the nature of the kind of decision-making process that is used by/for those who work under those conditions. Much effort has been oriented towards the incorporation of individuals who are more "pure in intention" (and naive to the purposes of the research) to counter this glitch, but as the new physics has shown, observance of phenomena affects the phenomena observed, thus rendering it suspect if not useless. This is especially applicable in such subtle fields as related to the intuitive function. As a result, this field kind of has its own protection, yet apparently there is plenty of room for hard lessons for hard heads.
As we get our ethical/spiritual act together, these limitations will be surpassed. (I'm not betting, however, on the computer/bio-mechanical simulation of the intuition anytime, or century, soon.) As noted in earlier sections of this writing [referring to the "Evolution Trends" essay], we are only in the third level or chakra (of seven) [per "Seven Phases of Evolution" section] -- the Information/Manipulation age -- in our evolution, and hopefully the latter part of it. And there will be the temptation to mis-use power (relative to "perfect" at-one-ment of all powers) until the whole of the planet evolves well past the Holographic [4th chakra] level -- all people, even on our very worst days, so to speak. That, according to most arcane/esoteric authorities, will not be for a few centuries or more -- further along in the Kali-yuga (26,000 year cycle). Even then, we will have temptation (and thereby much of our learning) for a kind of power abuse, but not as we currently experience it.
Will Intuition actually "come home" to the earth plane? Do we want it to? Will we ever learn to stop polarizing our perception by comparing the worth of people? Our brains (or their ventricles) follow our hearts, and our hearts are torn between whatever divisions there are between our own minds and (how we conceive) the mind of God. Eventually, much of the current mystery or mystique around the use of our intuition -- and related elitism -- will be traded in, transformed for a more useful regard of our whole brain, whole heart capacities and their purposes -- and for OUR purpose. |

GETTING THERE FROM HERE
(AND THE POLITICAL MAZE IN BETWEEN)
How soon the noted health care related events take place may depend somewhat on the 1995-2005 psycho-socio-political throes. These should be intense considering the increase in [non/]secular polarization and its relation to major political strategies in many parts of the world, including the U.S. "Revolution" being touted by major players in the U.S., and militias enjoying a heyday in popularity. All this bodes not too well for lovers of a secure democracy, unless they like it secured by martial law. Funding for medical care and other social assistance may be cut short by the attempts at re-prioritization going on at the time of this writing. This alone would not do the deed, considering the expanding momentum of brilliant minds' and teamwork across the disciplines of medicine. We have HIV and auto-immune diseases on the run, and a proper respect is being generated for the impending and grave threats to our immune systems.
But with politics now in danger of maintaining its plunge into "blackmail politics for keeps" on the national level-many other health care funding factors may be threatened decidedly. Consider the sudden rash of re-election pull-outs, party-switching, and exposé's. All have been in one political party or associated with the directions it represents, and occurred right after this party's main players participated in some of the most courageous exposé's of CIA officials. Much covert activity will likely continue in any case, assuming that the "power-elite" will pay for it, as allowed, to stay in power. We are being shown just how far in the dark the average citizen has been kept in regard to our (government's) association with extra-terrestrial life-forms, with inter-planetary travel, with (amazingly advanced) experimentation in Psyonics and telepathy and related weaponry, out of body travel, etc.
All these technologies can and will be put to positive use -- much of it for healing -- after we survive the coming test-packed decade. Even in the outposts of covert technological research, there have been minds wanting to benefit society with related discoveries. And even these covert groups are polarizing into opposing camps, some of which will help in the re-balancing of power and the healing of society.
1995 to 2005 will be the decade of the media moguls and the survival of democracy. Both media technology and corporate espionage have benefited from all the expertise that has been let loose from many intelligence agencies around the world since the cold-war liberation. The accelerated increase in consolidation of resources into the hands of the few will continue for the time being. Eventually the information age will facilitate the expose of such as the above for just what it is-even among those who are now too pressured by job politics or job-hunting to make ends meet, by religious blind-siding, and by sensationalising "news" to see through the fog.
The increase of information and of its access via the modem and modem-successors will be a valuable asset to democracy. This is provided that the "security" minded power players don't convince the people that they can stand guard over the computer codes that private citizens use for their personal data, as well as monopolise the flow of information all while supposedly staying above influencing the content. In this decade of the media moguls, will we manage our entertainment appetite as we host their programs in our homes, or will we meet the their appetite as the media would eat away at our conscience? Did I say, "the survival of democracy?" Well, yes, and it looks like it may take some work.
Still, I believe we are never given anymore than we can handle, individually or collectively-in the long view of evolution and spiritual growth. No matter how sophisticated a power may be, and how off-centered its priorities, that government is no threat to real power if it's people do not give to it the responsibilities they should maintain (in every sense of the word) for themselves. In the last ten years we've had a tremendous increase in interest in personal self-improvement, self-empowerment, and spiritual self-actualization. We've had some good lesson's from such brilliant instructors of self-healing as leader John Bradshaw in the realms of codependency and self-applied common sense. The ability to say "no"-when asked to give our power away in the name of love (but actually for the sake of maintaining addictions and related lifestyles) -- is critical to our time. We've exercised great creativity and compassion in mediation of conflict, and have learned from it even when peace seemed to come only from renewed conflict with nations with adult-children as leaders.
As many who keep an ear to the trends of time will know, the next ten years is the one spoken of in so many of the great prophecies. There are more than myths attesting to the accelerating geologic shifts, climatic changes, pest population and adaptation, scale of destructiveness of insane criminals and terrorists, and large scale political and financial manipulation. We will have the unique opportunity to learn first-hand from the most hi-tech, research data- backed, psychological weaponry developed since Hitler's genius (and far- exceeding his effectiveness), now being implemented on the buying public (buying everything from milk to information to political imagination).
PSYCHO-SOCIAL TRANSITION AND REHABILITATION
In order for societies to attain the prerequisite understanding and clarity necessary to accomplish the above, empathy and compassion needs to be learned through the experiences of the coming decade of challenges. Looming large on the curriculum is the issue of POLARIZATION [3rd, or Solar Plexus, Chakra level per Seven Phases of Evolution section]. "Polarization" refers to the two opposing extremes of over-identification and enmeshment. The first extreme, over-identification, relating to hyper-egoism or narcissism, includes misplaced patriotism and competition for the sake of wrong-making and degradation, nationalism that unduly separates people, bigotry, elitism, and related extremes. The 2nd extreme, enmeshment, relating to the blurring of proper boundaries (such as with emotional or energetic enmeshment, sexual abuse, any improper "dual relationship"), includes that which occurs with [non/]secular/political or political/personal conflicts of interest. Appropriate structure (laws, regulations, professional guidelines, cultural mores, rules of conduct, etc) is the result of healthy personal and societal discrimination of values, and related priorities and goals.
I see the planet entering the holographic age in the next 50 to 75 years. Yet it could happen sooner, considering the degree of ACCELERATION IN EVOLUTION that can occur, once a certain amount of integration capacity is attained. Some "optimists" see a transformation accelerating the whole planet to holographic awareness in the next 20 years or so, in part due to "the exit" of those people (due to the unusual stresses of all the changes) who are attached to the old ways of being. I feel this degree of internal progress may happen so quickly only within a relative few people on the planet. And this is due simply to the need for so many to learn at the more basic levels first, including basic self-discipline and/or non-violence. I do not believe that God would simply eradicate a group of people simply because they haven't learned as much about life-as those who someone might call "the top 5 percent" of evolved society-however convenient it might be towards facilitating the birth of a "spiritual" world. If the purpose of being in a body on the planet is to achieve one's highest potential, and if such growth can only be achieved one step at a time, and if God is as compassionate as God's Love and Wisdom would allow for, then I feel that most of mankind will take until at least 2075 -- to even begin to feel secure enough-to empathise deeply with all others on the planet.
The capacity to resist the CHANGE THAT IS INEVITABLE on the road to growth-say, by denying one's own internal liabilities-slows the growth process. The process is necessary for THE ACCEPTANCE OF THE NEXT STEP, its digestion, its assimilation into the areas of function change, and then its integration into one's perception and action. As we graduate from one perception to another, there is a letting-go process, related to one's sense of humility and one's self-image, that is akin to the process of self-forgiveness. It requires reconciliation concerning one's past perceptions that have often resulted in the creation of painful limitations within/upon self and others. The faulty perceptions regard self's and other's worthiness to be whole, and have been fostered by centuries of societal and parental messages or conditioning.
Unraveling this wouldn't be so complex if not for the prevalence and degree of shame and resulting denial-of memories, beliefs, and related dynamics. As society becomes more practiced at RECONCILING THE PAST, benefits will multiply. One of the benefits will be the realization by society that an increase in emotional stability and psycho-emotional integration makes accessible great amounts of internal resources-leading to a heightened overall application of intelligence, hence, increased creativity, productivity, and growth.
Perhaps as soon as 2055, we will begin a period in which almost all functional people take for granted A NATURAL INCLINATION toward life-long pursuit of expanded awareness, virtuosity, and overall well-being. Such process would be on the level(s) appropriate to each individual, no matter the individual's occupation or "station" in life. The people considered less than societally-functional would be strongly but positively encouraged to work on more basic attitude levels until they were self-motivated to contribute to/for/from their highest potential. To accomplish this for all people, most societies will dramatically change their ideas about what facilitates effective behavior correction and rehabilitation.
Individual rehabilitation comes with "Social Rehabilitation". Hence, it is in this section that I choose to mention the "DISSOLUTION OF POVERTY." Poverty and related death will be broadly realized to be a result of an attitudinally directed style of resource management based on sets of values that discriminate-actively or passively-as to who is more and who is less worthy of having and using sufficient basic needs. As this happens, along with the decrease in the aberrations of polarization, people will naturally share the more than plentiful resources available. WORLD POPULATION will require a tremendous effort at effecting healing of these and related attitudes, considering that there is well known a direct relationship between those with insufficient basic needs and those with the most dense populations.
The old reward/punishment STYLE OF MOTIVATION WILL EVOLVE along with the evolvement of our psychological needs for structure (e.g.: degree of authority required for motivating constructive behavior and personal growth). We will learn to appropriately apply specific amounts of STRUCTURE AS APPROPRIATE TO THE NEEDS for correction and/or rehabilitation of individuals and groups, and to changes in those needs through the completion of rehabilitation and re-integration with society. This will be greatly facilitated by "Whole Systems Diagnosis" and "Holographic Modeling," e.g.: for determining which group of "rehab students" with which to house an individual, for determining how to treat that group for how long, and what determines readiness to graduate to the "next level" of treatment, etc. The assessments for these determinations will be very quick, accurate, and cost-effective. Also applied in the diagnosis and treatment will be the much advancement in addictions research and other fields of medicine as noted in the chart. These systems will be applied both to those convicted of crimes as well as those considered mentally and/or emotionally dysfunctional. MISCELLANEOUS "LITTLE" VISIONS
Cars have always felt archaic to me! ("Why isn't this thing moving above the ground?") I've seen integrated TRANSPORTATION SYSTEMS that used only the smallest portion of existing streets and highways and parking space, while allowing for a computer assisted hybrid system of intensely compact, magnetically-linked one, two, and multiple-passenger vehicle "trains" (linked for as long as they are going in the same direction) as well as individual vehicles (when going alone in a direction), all magnetically-levitated with their cruising height variable and automatically determined-based on the speed and destination-in the more collective-train systems. These "units" and "trains" would be collectively transported for long distances, across and between states, continents, or planets, wherever the systems were compatible. Imagine all the resulting liberated space going to trees, foliage, gardens, art, and people!
I see some wonderful PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT uses for the "neuro network" models in computers-incorporating fuzzy logic style dynamics in their "thinking." This computing will utilize interactive processes with program data-banks to do integrative problem solving processes - including auto-customizing personal growth management programs for one's home computer. This level of technology is almost here now and is one prerequisite for the holographic modeling mentioned above.
I have been "seeing" and waiting for a number of years the technology for the relatively quick and large-scale transformation of landfill WASTE SITES into usable, if not highly productive land. In recent years I've felt more and more rewarded by the developments in micro-organism, bio-engineering, and nano-technology research.
CONCLUSION
Awareness on and of the various levels and inter-relationships among the disciplines will develop due to the increased philanthropic intention as well as to the "market demands" and to the aberrations of the Information Age (abuse of information, media technologies, and related systems by and against powerful businesses in competition, as well as for military and political reasons).
So much depends on the 1995 - 2005 period of time, in terms of earth changes, authority rule factors in the U.S.-how dictatorial it may become, what happens with the militias and related issues, how the secular/non-secular issues play out). [2007 Note: that period has become NOW. But remember that spaceship that's going to save us ? <grin> Well, the pilots are none other than ourselves, so don't worry, we won't miss a minute of it -- God wouldn't deprive us of the realization that we are so capable! (So much for that Rapture swoop.)] This includes how soon the health and environmental related research is allowed (via government funding) to move along into the next potentials, and on into the holographic age.
I said in the introduction that the implications of this assessment are timely, even though they're not that original: We need to take charge of our creations, become sure of what we REALLY want, and be careful (read "choiceful") in what we pray for. Because with a little faith, we may very well get it. In short, we can choose it or loose it in the next few years. I've called it a decade, but I sense it may take another decade, more or less, to heal from it enough to look back on it with a sigh of relief. But if we can pull through the times with our most honorable values intact, I believe that we will eventually enjoy the greatest healing capacity we've ever experienced. And it will be by systems of care that are more sophisticated and complete, and yet more naturally synergistic, than we ever dreamed of.
I am curious as to how others (who are interested in Alternative Medicine, Psychology, and Spiritual Evolution, etc.) might look at the probable futures, what they might think of this scenario(s), and what they might add or substitute themselves.
Assessing the How's, Why's, And When's
In general, the charting and writing of the nature and timing of the events and their connections was developed with a mix of intuition and analysis. As the process happened, I was intuitively guided to recognize and fill in the apparent gaps in the event paths, to compare what developed from the process with certain role model systems and graded criteria to make the assessment of the "level" of evolution we appear to be at now, compared to what human potential might be along the corresponding points on the time lines that developed. I often used logical analysis to make many refinements after the first draft was written. I suppose that my assessing technological correlations and resulting inventions or developments would be easier for me if I had as much study in the history of invention and medical technology, as I have in the history of our psycho-spiritual development. I do have basic aptitude for for technical understanding and troubleshooting, and was even a telephone/teletype technician when in military service, although this work was far from exiting for me. Nonetheless, I really enjoyed doing the section, "Intuition Coming Home and Recovering the Holy Grail," which section resulted from a strong blend of intuition and technical knowledge. But what was the basis for my logical assessments?
Basis of assessment:
First, I believe there are strong correlations between how a person develops through various phases of maturation -- emotionally and mentally, and thereby spiritually -- and how a society (in this case, of the planet as a whole) develops through phases, some of which occur in a relative timeline. Also, I acknowledge there are broad extremes of maturity at any one time in history. I am referring to the overall collective consciousness, which has grown, it would seem, very, very slowly over the thousands of years on the planet. As for the yardstick of measurement of such maturation, it seemed appropriate to trust a system of perspectives whose considerations extend far in any direction of extremesas it compared broad-ranging types and levels of consciousness - yet searches for a balanced purpose in the whole of whatever continuum it examines.
For this purpose, given my background of studies, I naturally I drew on the eastern standard of psycho-spiritual evolution. It considers the evolution of any sentient being - from the stage of initial incarnation into a physical form, all the way through (with practically infinite detail if necessary) to the stage at which the being moves beyond the physical. This system of assessment is often related to the condition or state of individual energy centers in the person, and the manner/degree in/to which these centers relate to each other, as well as to the Source(s) of all energy. It is generally accepted that there are seven of these energy centers (or "chakras") in or about the body - by those who formed the original and greater body of work on the subject, as well as by the most established teachers in the eastern religions. From this there are correlated seven basic levels or stages of growth in the process of of a being's learning to advance to the highest stages of evolution. Those criterion, when understood properly and in depth, can be seen to be indicative of every trait, quality, and connection - within a being and/or as related to the being's environment, including as regards relationships with God and/or other beings. I elaborate below in the section, "Seven Phases of Evolution"
I believe it is largely from this basis of knowledge (to the degree that I am familiar with it) that my intuition helps extrapolate apparent probabilities in the social sphere - which from this view seems almost logical. As that applies here, the information age then correlates to the 3rd Chakra or Solar Plexus level of our evolution. And the Holographic Age correlates to the 4th Chakra, or Heart level. This assessment regards society's potentials for the next 100 years or so - perhaps the first quarter of what I believe to be the chronology of the heart chakra's era. EG: Integration of information and concept is only the beginning. But it will initiate far more important processes much deeper within, yet which interconnect us stronger with ever-expanding realms of consciousness.
Related personal note: I do not claim perfect knowledge of such systems of assessment, but a highly practiced working knowledge, even though (and possibly because) I do not "see" auras. The 'EvoTrends' essay is not much like any of the articles I read beforehand, but as it flowed out on paper, it just seemed to me to be too "logical" not to be valid. I say that even if I strongly suspect that my ego would love the idea of being "right". Granted, I do have some concerns - certainly some hopes - about how some of the event paths work out. Seven Phases of Evolution

| This is about "Seven Phases of Evolution", which are actually phases of growth processes, that Humanity passes through (in groups as well as individuals) in it's evolution in consciousness. It is through this perspective that I assessed, in 1995, that the human population, on the whole, resided or resonated at the middle to upper third phase or level of evolution (third of seven). The Evo-Trends essay, written in 1995, gave rise to my initial development of the "Phases of Evolution" system of assessment, although I didn't call it that until recently. The Evo-Trends essay itself is much more about the process of developing solutions, related social and technological advancements. (Noted here just in case you came to this section before reading the essay itself, and if you did, you may want to read the summary extract from the essay (added in a paragraph below with related header) which would apparenly lend credence to the assessment aspect of the Evo-Trends essay. And to the perspective that the growth of humanity may be occurring to a greater degree than is evident to most people). |

Or: About how the phases of societal maturation may relate to an individual's maturation, and that to the system of energy centers (per a system taught by advanced yogi's for thousands of years), to attributes and processes related to them, some of which develop or occur in a relative timeline. Please note that these energy centers (or "chakras") are related to the chi energy meridians, which have (also) been denied as existing - at least until recently, with the acceptance of accupuncture by many western medical authorities.
Are there "Phases of Evolution" or growth that Humanity passes through (in groups as well as individuals) in it's evolution in consciousness, and if so, what might be their implications? I'm speaking of a process requiring thousands of years to complete [and perhaps a better word than "complete" is needed here]. What use can be made of them, for instance, as regards ideals, objectives, plans? [Note: Ideals/Goals-Related section just below.] Is evolution of consciousness occurring to a greater degree than is evident to most people (even to some of those considering the question)? What benefit might be gained by correlating phases of evolution to a system of seven energy centers and correlary attributes and related processes?
The individual phases themselves might be described, for the sake of study and application here, as in direct correlation to a set of 7 energy centers that are said to influence each individual (referring to the bio-etheric set of seven "chakras" as taught about by advanced yogi's down through the centuries. "Chart of Energy Centers or Chakras" further below).
I am hoping to find a way to discuss a truly useful system of assessment that facilitates understanding and compassion for Humanity's process and without leading to even further religious judgment and condemnation. Perhaps to explain WHY we are currently experiencing one of the most discouraging periods in our planetary process, and HOW this might even be (probably is) a necessary though most distasteful step. How can we establish and keep in mind that we are all *responsible* (for our evolution in consciousness) within the context of the interconnectedness of all BEING - or even perhaps in context with *the whole of the timeline of evolution*? Afterall, the human mind is designed to solve the riddles of "Contextual complexity." (That part of a youth's brain undergoes it's primary development at about seven to eight years old, by the way.)
According to various factors that I've analysed, I have assessed that the average individual and average group in Humanity might currently be at about the middle to upper 3rd phase* [the summary extract from "the Evo-Trends" essay (below) should indicate how and why], although there certainly seems to be individuals and very small groups that operate primarily at the 1st level or phase of evolution (the least evolved) which are highly influential with/in governments and the media and other circles of "worldly power." As well as a relative few individuals and groups operating at the higher levels, who are also very influential (and substantially so), although not with/in circles of worldly power. And this relates directly, with our learning process - individually, communally, and as a species. [ I can also see at least two scenarios --having to do with the nature of *visibility* and *representation* -- that would support the theory that, on average, humanity may operate at higher levels (than middle to upper 3rd); described further below. ]
As regards the correlation of the seven phases of growth or evolution to the seven energy centers: These phases of growth* are based on the 7 bio-etheric energy centers within each individual's Soul-Being - as part of a system taught by advanced yogi's down through the centuries. The seven energy centers are geared to work together as an integrated whole, but individually have certain strengths and attributes. They can be viewed as tiered in a hierarchical arrangement, progressively advancing from the lower more material survival-based capabilities to those more oriented to the formless and sublime attributes of existence.
This is not a simple concept but I hope a few paragraphs can provide a suitable description in the context of the noted phases of evolution. I will summarily describe the structure of the system in the paragraph shortly to follow, but first it is important to understand certain sub-concepts:
An individual's "phases of growth" are NOT phases or levels in the truest sense. Because, even as each phase correlates with a center, each center within an individual develops or evolves at varying rates - depending on an individual's experiences in a given lifetime. And yet one energy center is not really independent of the other six, any more than the sub-systems of the endocrine system. For example, the thyroid gland may be akin to a 5th level manager in the endocrine system, and yet the other 4 lower glands still greatly effect how the thyroid operates. AND Note: the bio-etheric energy centers (or "chakras") are directly correlated with the glands or the endocrine system. Also, in that each of the seven energy centers (or power transformers if you will) serve as a kind of power, it serves us well to remember that each of these centers of power can be used/developed/influenced for "good" or much less. As a whole, they correlate directly with our consciousness - of ourselves, of other people, of all that exists whether detectible to our normal physical senses or not. As such, we are "in charge" of them, and yet, they serve as channells or communications relay centers between our conscious and "super-conscious" or soul selves - those parts of us that "sit next to God."

Meanwhile, the energy centers' correlary attributes can be summarized crudely and briefly: 1) strength, security, basic support; 2) passion, reproduction, creativity; 3) individuation & definition, information, raw empathy as in "gut feeling," power in management/ manipulation of these aspects; 4) love, service, empathy with others as extension of oneself, psycho-emotional integration; 5) authority, management, delegation of power, communications, 'power of Spoken Word'; 6) conceptual, contextual, & ethics/ values-based discrimination, insight, recognition of truth, reality, & related veils, psychic awareness; 7) pure knowledge, consciousness, integrated "connectedness" relating all reality/ies, All Beings, all energy centers as ONE, etc. Each energy center, is thereby part of our non-physical anatomy, according to teachings of advanced yogi's down through the centuries. |

Given the above, you may understand how I assessed Humanity (on the overall average) to be operating at the middle to upper 3rd level or phase of evolution based on these elements as noted in the essay:

Our trial and initiation prior to entering the next age is dealing with the issue of 'Polarization.' ...refers to the two opposing extremes of over-identification and enmeshment. WHY CONCERN OURSELVES WITH SUCH A NOTION?
This perspective (using a system of evolution/growth phases) is provided as a vehicle or means for the study of evolution - so that we might look at where we are now, relative to where we want to go. So that our ideals and purpose for living might be considered in depth, as well as in the long term, "macro-cosmically" if you will. And thereby, we might develop the goals and plans that may effectively assist us in surviving the impending global challenges we face today. I BELIEVE WE CAN GET BEYOND - what seems to be the current or impending "Doom & Gloom" scenario orientation. That "The test" IS the vehicle for doing that - whether one believes that we've created that "vehicle," or that it's been handed to us. I know, that's pretty lofty stuff, but I'm under no illusion that it's never been said before. And besides, I've been blessed to study some of those who I believe have been some of the true leaders of mankind over the centuries. I only hope what I write doesn't or wouldn't dissappoint them too greatly.
There are perspectives, on the one hand and worthy of merit, that contend that humanity is "at the animal level." And some proponents of that view even use quotes from Joseph Campbell and Alfred Einstein to make their point. While I agree that it certainly appears that some very powerful individuals and groups operate primarily at the 1st level or phase of evolution with much influence in governments and the world media, I also believe that many people on the planet are highly influenced --in how they behave within their own community circles-- by a relatively few people/beings who operate at the higher levels. And that even includes great influence by many beings operating at the highest levels, even though they are not currently in a physical body. And at times it may be easy to ignore the proponents of the more subtle realms of power, and even say their lives or ideas don't count. But that is part of the paradox and conundrum of the human condition, and a challenge that has always been with us and I assume always will be.
So I could round this up now by saying, "nothing new here... back to the drawing board of developing ideals into realistic goals."
But first I would like to add a few more notes about related considerations .
As a person experiences life in a given day, in different circumstances, with different moods, with different people, etc, that person may resonate more with any one of the seven energy centers than with any other center, changing perhaps with each experience. Some persons may resonate more with "higher" energy centers through more of the experiences than someone else. And they may "Live there" on a daily basis, ever evolving. But who is to say actually, since how they actually appear to behave might vary depending on many factors - not the least of which may be the objectivity of the one observing and judging the appearance.
The very fact that such things are difficult to judge... says a) we should be careful not to judge unless bound by law perhaps to do so, and b) consideration of such dynamics should lead to increased humility about and compassion for those people and situations we cannot be objective about. That is, to consider such dynamics may give rise to a kind of perspective on life that is liberating for some people, lending to more understanding of and toleration for others that live or believe differently. And it may lead some people to shed or revise their believe systems that would otherwise lend to hypocrisy in relationship with others. One can only hope, at least.

How do these essays relate to Evolution Trends ? There is an axiom in the healing realm: "As Above, So Below." I've applied that with some effort at my PolyPsyArts pages, via "Poly-Psy Citizen Healing Page" with Discussions & Charts on Political Activism, Empathy, Apathy, Healing & Recovering Democracy, etc.
*Visibility* and *Representation* (Factors Blinding the Assessment ?) [added 12/7/09] This is about those "relative few individuals and groups operating at the higher levels," noted above "who are also very influential (and substantially so), although not with/in circles of worldly power." And thus supporting the theory that, on average, humanity may be operating "at higher levels (than middle to upper 3rd)" due to factors I've referred to as related to the nature of *visibility* and *representation.* How likely it IS -- that these factors mean that humanity actually operates "at higher levels" -- is certainly not easy to measure, may not even be possible to measure. But I think the factors deserve some consideration, so I will mention them here. [VISIBILITY:] How many (how significant?) are the numbers of those whose operating level is invisible because they are "scraping to get by" and lack the energy, let alone time, to focus on activities in ways that the media picks up on, let alone the "intention" to get the media's attention? And this may even be due to someone else's actions in the current lifetime. And in any case, in order for people to be operating at high spiritual levels, IMO, they need not communicate in ways that 'society' recognizes as sophisticated or civilized, or even communicate that they have the ability to read or write! In fact, a key point here is regards HOW 'civilization' has measured intelligence: the method used for measuring intelligence has always been a major determinant, and thereby, sadly, also a major distortion. I'm speaking of HOW "civilized," and (supposedly) thence spiritually connected, we ("civilized" folk) have determined 'other' people to be or not be. In actuality, the more *we believe* that we have been able to communicate with and gain understanding from, by, or with a given people or animal species --the higher we have rated their intelligence AND even spiritual connectedness! Whereas the less we have understood someone or some species, the lower we have rated their intelligence and moral capacities (to our subsequent embarrassment in notable cases, where these assessments have actually showed more about our ability or inability to assess or understand others. Our biases, prejudices, and steriotypes also remain an ongoing testiment of that.) My point here is, just because much of civilization is blind to the relevance and value of so many others (and their percentage of the populace), and inspite of what the media would have you believe (for their own benefit), there is still no good reason for thinking individuals to disregard the potential of Mankind to be positively effected by those that they can not yet see or understand. (IMO, more anthropologists and sociologists need to get together with more psychologists - but that's just for starters regarding cross-discipline science interactions, as elaborated in the above section, "Interconnecting Key Elements in the Evolvement of Planet Earth") [REPRESENTATION:] If there had been more representatives of John F. Kennedy's level when JFK was in office, IMO, there would have been less filtering of "good people" from the "strong representatives" among candidates for political office. And thereby would have been less influenced by those overly motivated by, or susceptible to, the influence of power for power's sake. And IF that is true, THEN that may indicate greater numbers of people operating at higher levels. Like the media, representatives have only the amount of power we give them. I admit, I have complained that the elected representatives *ALSO* represent the LACK of political choice, therefore the APATHY of the citizenry (in the more powerful of the western democracies). But how accurate is that (and what it implies), when considering those people who are operating mentally or attitudinally or intentionally, or consciously or spiritually, at far higher than animal levels, and are still politically forced out of representation? And even though they are also a large enough part of a group that they would otherwise make a difference, were their "representatives" to count them, listen to them, truly represent them, or let them vote? I'm sure we can think of some prime examples of current day religious persecution and misrepresentation - all around the world, including in established democracies. And that too may indicate more people operating unseen at higher levels (more than it indicates anything else), even though not "successfully" representing their best side to those who would count them as such. Falling into either camp (representation or visibility) would be those who are currently living at survival level of existence, although operating at higher levels, due to a soul's choice to be born of a certain parentage, creed, nationality, or circumstance, in order to learn from that experience. Related Note: As may summarize much of the above, evolution of humanity from this point would require more transition off the drugs -- not just substances, but power and identification with image -- and more transition onto the things that last. Some say that the attraction to substances declines in direct relationship to our decreasing attraction to power and identification with image. And someone else (?) said, "The most valuable things are not things at all."
Thanks to Ferent Adrian whose questions and ascertions on my Facebook page's "Wall" (November 2009) led to much of this section's writing. [That discussion has been transferred to my "Notes" section there]. Ferent quoted Joseph Campbell and Alfred Einstein to make a point about "98%" of humanity's being "at the animal level." That "Animals live on these three levels ...the levels of holding onto life, reproducing life, and winning. ...is what popular religions are concerned with: health, wealth and progeny. Winning the war, god send us rain for our crops, and all that sort of thing." My short response was "yes, so many need to focus on learning how to get along- but the trouble usually is that so many can't even get their basic needs met (as in Maslow's "Hierarchy of Needs" and related theory- which is accepted as fairly basic in all schools of psychology), and so to expect all/most of them to feel secure enough to focus on the reading of ethics and spirituality, let alone metaphysics... So to judge "98%" so quickly as you seemed to... well, here's where we consider what "realistic goals" can be set. And, yes, the leaders of the most powerful nations "should" be role-models for the others -- instead of using and abusing the other nations..." I elaborated: "And I have great respect for Joseph Campbell and his views. But yes, when you invoke that "98%" - well, you seem head off in a few directions that I might not go so far into. Not only does such a high stat sound extreme, thence sounding like the other 2% is in some sort of elite class, off and apart and perhaps select, but there is the much more complex matter of determining the criteria, not just for who are at what level, but also for determing how and why someone fits into a given level. I say complex, because something important to consider, IMO, is that you might have a 5th chakra operating level individual who has been victimized and left with no basic resources, no support system to speak of, and maybe not even a good name, and that person has to scrape/suffer just to survive (which scraping may likely be comprised of different kinds of activities in different cultures). Hence the question arises in my mind: How can we know how many people at survival level of existence got there by reaping the seeds they have sown, or by someone else's actions, or by choice to be born of a certain parentage in order to learn from it, which circumstance will, by the law of Karma, be balanced via one or more future lifetimes, but not necessarily the current one [more on that in "On Learning, Fairness, Truth, and Peace" section further below]. And yet, it is the current one --for all the world's peoples-- that you seem to be assigning this measure to. At any rate, people will receive a book or other kind of instruction only to the degree they are able and motivated to. And if they are scraping, whether they are at 6th chakra operating level or at 2nd, they will likely not have the energy, let alone time, maybe not even the ability, to read or learn. Chances are the higher operating level folks don't need the lesson, they mainly need our compassion (and those basic resources). But then so do all the others - because that is how we all take the next step in learning, a step that is retained, that is - by giving and/or receiving gifts of love, compassion, and knowledge. And if that were always easy (IMO), for one, we wouldn't be having this discussion. In short, [addressing Ferent Adrian] I think you may have misunderstood Campbell's reference, or most apparently the application of it, particularly when you equate all those falling in (Campbells categorization of) 'animal level' as rotten idiots. Some days I may *feel* little respect for those who seem to care so little about, say, the genocide of the Iraqi's, and which non-caring set seem to be the greater majority of American people. But I do my best at NOT giving my *emotional body* the absolute power of categorization in my belief system, although that body may sit with my full respect at my 'conference table' so to speak." And so the sections following "Assessing the How's, Why's, And When's" came into being, as well as these additions:
Animal Farm [added 12/7/09] Or is that what Ferent, as well as promoters of communism are trying to say - that we are in fact an animal farm and should consider ourselves as currently living that way, but that we should therefore go a a more successful route than that which was taken by the characters in the book, Animal Farm ? Which book has been used in high school history courses as a metaphorical message to say that communism was not the way to go. (?) Whereas, IF one could say that IF we are indeed virtally all animals, and that THEN we may as well [give in to "the hopelessness of our state" and] act like it, THEN you still polarize the representatives of that viewpoint into two or more camps - economically and socio-politically - as regards how the resources are distributed, how the recipients are selected, and how to either increase the resources or decrease the consumption - or, depending on how animalistic the decision making becomes, how to reduce the number of recipient consumers. Which, of course, are not new considerations, including even the last factor, in discussing how socio-economic, geo-political-military decisions have been made, are made now. Even recently, [those considerations enter very critically into decision making] at high levels of leadership, with all the Judeo-Christian identified leadership in the most powerful nations on the planet. Maybe even especially so. But one of the points I try to make here is that, even given some kind of wide-spread acceptance or admission of "high-animalist content" in the psychological makeup of earth's population, the polarization would still go on between those more capitalist-oriented and those more socialist-oriented, and those more communist-oriented. And I'm not saying there are no power elitists who depend on dis-empowering and disillusioning citizens and their representatives or potential representatives, or that their are no circumstances that have given rise to what someone may refer to as "conspiracy theory." Let's just say I've examined many of them, probably with a great deal more ... patience than others care to invest, developing a process I call "Theory Stacking" (elaborated on at the PolyPsyArts Home Page). And I have become convinced that most such "conspiracy theories" have been created and promulgated with intentions as I described in my previous note (for the purpose of disillusioning and dis-empowering those who might otherwise contribute as citizens to the governing processes of their community or nation). I also believe that the CIA, Mossad, KGB and other like groups employ people whose job it is to create and disseminate such stories - for their own purposes, of course. That some people pick up on them and pass them along because it suits their own proclivities. So I say "Beware whose purposes and processes you might actually serve." I have to admit, I questioned Ferent's motivation behind his communicating that we're all "just animals" - but mainly his attempting to do that on a broad scale - publishing books to supposedly "prove" his mathematical theorem to that end. EG: How likely are we to motivate people to raise their consciousness by beating them with the condemnation that they are incapable of elevating their spiritual capacities, let alone helping improve how we manage the planet. IF we want to accomplish a goal that isn't seen CLEARLY, let alone immediately, "right ahead" of us, and IF it is born out of our highest ideals and related "visions/aspirations, and VERY especially IF one knows that the goal is absolutely necessary (for one's survival, for human evolution), ... THEN one way to go about it is a) look at (a visualization of) what we really want, and b) consider some basic routes for how we might get there from here, c) imagine yourself "looking back" from the time/place you would be after accomplishing the desired goal at the key and core physicalities that needed to be created in the latter time periods prior to achieving the goal, then d) the same for the physicalities preceding those... all the way back to the present. And then, e) do the same for the attitudes that would be necessary to accomplish those - for each goal as necessary. From here f) a basic flow chart of required tasks and conditions are established. g) Quality Control Consideration: If you employed the preceding steps and found the process very easy to accomplish, or that it did not require much depth of thought, chances are good that the ideals were not set high enough. "Heart's Desire, Ideals, & Accomplishment" (Aug'11, on same page) is About clarifying what we most truly want, and how we can have that... also about HOW we respond to Pain & Loss (whether caused by disease, ourselves, others, or the economy) and are brought back together again - the *how* that can MAKE ALL THE DIFFERENCE. Whether to grieve and heal and grow in our problem-solving and preventative maintenance capacities, or to blame and respond in attack as with Iraq after 911, leading to war, related foreign policy dynamics, economic calamity. |

I believe ideals can be useful as guides, considered in context with any given current reality, and as such, perhaps they are most useful of any type of perspective. As we focus on the ideal we draw near and close the gap between that reflected universe we know mirrors our highest potentials, and the universe that we have tended to "see" around us. For many readers as well as this author, many of the ideals stated or implied on various pages at this site are very challenging to say the least, and understandably so. I present them because I believe they might help us formulate a useful vision by which we can effectively develop realistic goals.
A "Purposeful Existence" Theory (one that I'd believe holds validity for "Reality") would include these considerations: IF Humanity is essentially purposeful as may be represented in our genetic code (with the oh-so implicative pi-ratio dynamic ¹ included), THEN would it not make sense that:  *FREE WILL* (and related *Choice(s),* and goals, and the purposes and values geared around or supporting them) is an essential part of it all?
And if so, would that not necessarily imply *LEARNING,* including learning such as the above to be true, as part of *every* soul's realm of possibilities?
And would that not imply *FAIRNESS* or equality of opportunity as part of the said purposefulness.
And would that not imply sufficient *TIME AND SPACE* available so that eventually all souls would arrive at the point of realization of the above implied highest purposes for existence?
And perhaps, if I take only a slight leap here, even evolve out of ("transcend") the construct of time and space?
But if those implications are true, then "sufficient time and space" would imply the existence or process of multiple lifetimes (Reincarnation), so that *evolution* of Humanity provides for the realization of purposeful existence (as outlined in principle above). ²
And yet, it would seem that all the religions of the world are based in the belief in a purposeful existence, and yet again, so many of them do not seem to give much credit to or hope for the actual evolvement by trial and error to any real state of capability in problem solving. They seem to say that any real problem solving is left up to the Divine and is basically useless for humanity to attempt any real solution finding. Which contradicts the notion of purposeful existence outside of being rewarded for being subservient. And as far as multiple lifetimes (reincarnation) and learning (karma) goes, the amount of material there is supporting the Buddhist perspectives, let alone belief system, is not only massive, but complex, yet interwoven. AND it makes enough sense that it almost requires no faith - because, IMO, it is, on the whole, simply that logical. (While Buddhists can be the most intellectual folks around, their core meditations teach well how to engender deep and profound compassion for others - including total strangers, outcasts, and enemies.) ² On the other hand... I should add that the old testament thing about vengeance is part of the story, the history, that we were/are supposed to LEARN from. CONTEXT is everything, they say. And then there's the Aramaic language that got re-translated a couple of times (Aramaic -> Greek -> Latin), which Rocco A. Errico (biblical translator) ² establishes caused LOTS of misinterpretation. Throw in the ulterior motives of Constantine and a few popes since then who were doing the translating, add the influence of a few (understandably?) ticked off protestant reformists since then, and... well, we get this thing about vengeance being God's. Yeah, just blame it on someone (THE ONE) who can't speak directly for Him/Herself - so to speak. So, could we say that Mankind has not yet evolved past the need for some STRUCTURE ³ such as fundamentalist creeds or religions to believe in ("do not think, let alone question; just believe")? AND yet, such structures HAVE provided a vehicle for much of Mankind to learn together in. YES, such learning involves doing very basic security-based things (Including learning how to solve problems as non-violently as possible). Mankind would do this learning (and all the same mistakes) somehow anyway during this stage of learning, right? ³ The trick, IMO, is learning how to encourage the development of solutions towards getting us (Humanity) through the current challenge (impasse?) in Mankind's evolution. I was thinking that, well, if enough people became aware of "the current test" AS a *TEST*, then WE might back off enough to reconnoiter and reconsider the situation in a more productive LIGHT." FOOTNOTES ¹ PI-RATIO DYNAMIC: referring to the universal constant of all life as we know it), significant in the spirals of DNA and the essential bio-magnetic resonance of the atoms that compose it's structure. The pi-ratio proportion is the basis of Sacred Geometry, and the "Golden Rectangle" is a geometric form which graphically describes those proportions. Biologically speaking (to begin with), we may have started out with much more similar genetics than we have now. Influences of Life processes, not to mention long term evolvement, changes those genetics. I like to say that we (All Things) are all interconnected by Spirit, but evolving mind defines, interprets, manipulates the connecting Spirit in the process of learning what Spirit is, and what it's for, etc. And so our genetic development is influenced by our learning. And yet, I believe the "blueprint" for the genetic code is not altered, only amended at best. When we learn and develop patterns in harmony with that blueprint, we are "rewarded" with increased resonance with the essence that set up the purpose of the universe - and we are given increased connection to that, thus insight. By the way, this relates to my view of 'Integration of body, mind, and Spirit' being a big part of the plan, of a higher purpose for existence. ² ABOUT RELIGIONS: I'm not pushing ANY particular religion. I believe each individual is responsible for figuring out what makes him/her the best person s/he can be (whether that's a religion or otherwise). As for myself, I extract tools and practices that work as long as they work in that light. I believe there is a "golden thread" that connects all major religions. Specific to Karma & Reincarnation: There are many references in the early Christian documents, supporting the belief in reincarnation, including per teachings of Jesus. In the 5th century, the church sought & destroyed the Gnostic gospels, highly related to the pluralistic nature of early Christianity and the role of women (including bishops and prophets). The Gnostics were very large part of Christianity during 1st two centuries (see Related Philosophy section at the Chalice Art Page. Other references include: The book, *The Gospel of the Nazirenes: Reconciling Reincarnation & Christianity Through Science*, based on the aramaic manuscript, "Gospel of the Nazirenes," edited by Alan Wauters and Rick Can Wyhe; *Twenty Cases Suggestive of Reincarnation and other scientific works on reincarnation* by Dr. Ian Stevenson of the University of Virginia; *The Search for Grace*, (Llewellyn 1997) by Dr. Bruce Goldberg includes a very convincing case history.
Constantine (280-337), according to the early contemporary Christian historian Eusebius, while praying, saw "a cross of light" in the heavens, and an inscription, "conquer by this." The previously pagan Constantine was thereby converted in A.D. 312 and, following his defeat of Maxentius at Milvian Bridge, united the Empire and declared Christianity the official religion. [W.H. Frend, The Rise of Christianity, pp. 473-515, Phila.: Fortress Press, 1984] Before in 325 AD "There was no 'bible', just a lose assemblage of papyrus reed texts, scrolls, sheep skin documents and tablets", according to Greg Braden (interview). The Emperor Constantine saw them as "redundant and too mystical to make sense to people at the time, and then created 'the Council of Nice' to assemble all the existing biblical materials into one text. "Twenty-five books were taken out and an additional 20 supporting reference documents to scholars were removed. Then the Council condensed and reorganized the rest." However, they have turned up again in the approximately 800 Dead Sea Scrolls which also have been largely hidden from public scrutiny. What Constantine did was all about motivation - to unite people (those who would form what is now Europe) who could not be united any other way at the time (so used the prevalence of the network of Christian clergy throughout the land as the basis for organizing the government). The one-life, Heaven/Hell stick motivator is about fear, of course, although many Christians do emphasize love. But the times have come where fundamentalists (religious extremists) are taking the fear driver to the bank. The law of Karma (and Reincarnation) doesn't de-motivate or decelerate the learning process, it expands the process in the context of responsibility - it's toughest message provides the sufficient fear motivation if/as needed: "there is no free meal, you will just keep coming back till you you get it". But the Law of karma is way bigger than that, and it's perfectly customized according to how each individual is motivated in a given lifetime : Karma is simply the structure by which we magnetically attract the circumstances, by which we all learn whatever we need to learn, in a given lifetime or set of lifetimes (To summarize in context what was said above in the section, "On Learning, Fairness, Truth, and Peace"). Ok, that's not simple, but it's purpose is to facilitate an understanding of Love, via understanding the Divine Parent/Child relationship, via the learning of the highest forms of Love & Compassion, in accordance with the Highest Loving Will of the Highest Loving Power - And do that over as many lifetimes as it takes*. Because that would be a totally impossible order to fill in just one lifetime. Jesus & Buddha are said to have lived many many lifetimes to get to the point of mastery they had attained. On the Aramaic Language & Biblical Translation: Rocco A. Errico's book, *Let There Be Light - The Seven Keys* - per his proficiency in Aramaic, the language of jesus (not greek, and not latin, the two languages that much of the bible has been translated/retranslated from/into, and retranslated again into english!) Errico's expertise extends not just into the language, but also the customs, idioms, psychology, symbolism and philosophy of the Semitic peoples, the teachings of the patriarchs, prophets, as well as Jesus and his apostles. Other books by Errico include *The Ancient Aramaic Prayer of Jesus* and *The Mysteries of Creation.* My use of the phrase "purposeful existence" was not stated in any reference to any "purposeful universe" theories, however interesting *some* of them may be, at least in part. I believe that Darwin had it right as far as the scientific evolution of species. My question and discussion, research if you will, in context with the other topics covered on this page, is about where and how and why did the original design of the whole process, for ALL solar/planetary systems and incarnate beings therein, get put into effect. ³ ABOUT STRUCTURE & LEARNING: I have my own interpretation of the role that religion has played in providing structure for groups of people, of related events through history, and of related perspectives around that: a) I appreciate structure and what keeps folks "out of trouble." That is to say, the non-productive violent, or otherwise life-harming kind of trouble is the kind one should try to avoid. And religion facilitates that well *for some people* or during some phases of their lives at least. b) After that, other than that, and/or with that, other systems of self-management and community management are more effective. c) no one system works for all - that's just part & parcel with the indispensable diversity of mankind - hence, it's knowing if/when there's a need to switch to the next system - some people can probably do alright with the same system all their very static lives- due to their own continuous comfort and ease (perhaps ideal unless overly/purposely insulated), mental or emotional paralysis/ malady, and/or because they truly are from a different planet or plane of consciousness (but then how would I know? I'm just trying to be open here...  .
Personally, and based on the (my) "Purposeful Existence" Theory (described in the above section) I do believe in an afterlife of sorts - besides reincarnating into another body; am speaking of life even after all that). But not a simple "be and good and you'll get [any/all manner of things we value while in a body]". At that point, whether you get a "body", or what kind of "vehicle" you get, is probably part of the choice set. In the meantime, we create our own heaven and hell time while in a body - which can certainly be enough to learn from. Which is the whole point, in the process of getting to that "other place." (Even the BROAD variations in biblical translations easily allow for this.) In that light, a combination of earth-centered and eastern perspectives work for my cosmological perspectives, as well as for systems of self-management and sprititual practice, but I had to develop that on my own and during/ after considerable study and homework on myself. And, by the way, therapists in training practice on each other and learn to appreciate it's benefits, and so often continue it afterwards. There should be no shame or stigma attached to it. Some use religion as "therapy" after all (and probably should). I like Jesus as a master teacher - but I prefer the more metaphysical perspectives about his person, life, teachings, and purpose. But as implied, I don't begrudge anyone's version so long as it works according to (a) above 
d) We (Humankind) learn from "history" (we certainly hope at this point) - but also from our own individual soul process over thousands/millions of years (re-incarnating as often as needed with other souls, of course). Worst case scenario (?): we are here mainly to learn- the hard way if necessary, to love each other, and we keep coming back, because in that case our souls are more or less permanent, reincarnating in yet another body, to pick up where our souls' education left off. And IF so, we might consider that there will always be "new souls" in class - along with the old souls. Afterall, how boring would it be otherwise? <metaphysician's dark humor > It seems that our emotional clocks were set back to the days of the crusades by the events of 911, reinstating fear as the primary instigating or motivating force and perceptual filter in the feeling bodies & eyes of humanity. Fear is the hardener in the walls of structure. And some would say that was devised & implemented by joint effort between extremist fundamentalist Christians & Muslims to hurry armegeddon and heaven's rewards. IMO, now is time to teach karma - via the more complete context such as included in the above section (Footnote 3) "Specific to Karma & Reincarnation", under "On Learning, Fairness, Truth, and Peace". e) Much of the challenge to evolution (or one of the cycles of our learning, whichever way you want to look at it) had to with a key event during the dark to middle ages. This event was the divergence was between the philosophers, who also served as the closest thing to psychologists at the time, and the most powerful religious authorities of that period. This divergence had much to do with the acceptance of intuitive-based thinking vs analytical-based thinking - what we would now call the "Left/Right brain split." In his book, "No Boundary" Ken Wilber elaborates on what we would now call the "Left/Right brain split" and the psycho-spiritual significance of history and the evolution of consciousness during those periods. His chart, "Therapies and Levels of "The Spectrum of Consciousness'" has been included along with the section, "'The Lords of Culture' and Listening - A story about Language, Relationship, and the Body-Mind Split" [New 7/31/2010 by yours truly] and related implications at the Chalice Art page (in the sections on "Origins of Man" and "A Relationship Between the Dramatic Rise in Popularity of the Holy Grail/ Chalice Media and the Desire for Pragmatic Balancing of Extremes?") f) Back to current application: And given a little deductive reasoning from there, one would have to consider that we might not, on the whole, change the course of the planet - due to the relatively new souls who are still learning basic ethics (at 3rd chakra level [3rd of seven chakras]), as they enjoy their power trips in positions of leadership at the expense of others. I said "might not" - if only because the election of President Obama would seem to be a sign that we may actually work things through. Yes, we CAN. Because, well, having put a fair amount of study into the science of change and a little dancing with the political grassroots thing (you might have noticed a few statements at this site)... Under that "worst case scenario" (paragraph 'd' above) no action is wasted- it's all part of the learning. Don't get me wrong- that doesn't mean we can't still shoot for efficiency!
 Work is what happens when one would rather be doing something else. No matter what you're doing, at that point it becomes work, right? (eg: When I enjoy "the work" so much as I often do, it just feels strange to call it work) But where would that put "the work ethic" ? I mean, which "should" be more rewarded - working more with less motivation, or working less with more motivation ? Which would/should be more rewarding ? And ... if every work that happened was essential to the overall purpose of all and it was realized as such, and If there was no work that was associated with the making of someone less than someone else (less worthy of love and respect), how much more enjoyable then would every kind of work be? And would we, as individuals, then find it easier to know just exactly what work it was that we enjoyed the most? Is there any relationship between such questions and stress or muscle health? Is this a a) trick question, b) rhetorical question, or c) essay question ? <grin> prose by Chris Pringer

 Personal Notes or Quotes on Body-Mind Awareness [ cp, 12'07 ] BODY-MIND AWARENESS, at the core of preventive health awareness, is one of the most simple, efficacious, & cost-effective forms of HEALTH INSURANCE there can be. Hence, massage is far from just "a luxury item," and bodywork therapies can be indispensable for the healing of certain conditions. MUSCLES RELATE TO ATTACHMENTS - to what we use to take our stance, to hold our place, to perceive and respond to our environment, and to extend who we are and/or want to be. Or used to be (in too many cases, perhaps). That speaks not only to the body's condition and function, but to how it communicates awareness of where one is along one's path (of becoming who one truly is). THE BODY IS . . . among other amazing things, a unique communications system -- intimately linked with one's TOTALITY. Establishing rapport with one's body can be a PATH to self realization. ONE OF MY DREAMS is a society where/in all children are taught how to feel/see/read their own body-mind communications such that preventive health maintenance eventually becomes second nature. And actually, for the most part, they would be encouraged to re-awaken and build upon what I believe to be a NATURAL INCLINATION - conscious self-healing and continuous expansion of awareness. And the above goes FOR ALL OTHER ALTERNATIVE THERAPIES, to the degree that one utilizes them to improve such awareness and causative/pro-active connection with one's body-mind, and to employ the most effective tools for maintaining/improving one's health under any given condition or circumstance. WHY DOES BODY AWARENESS = OPTIMUM HEALTH INSURANCE ? And How does "Body-Parenting" relate to that in Body-Mind Integration ? |
